Well, vintage as such is over for another year… the Winery crew head out for celebration of same tomorrow and they can all settle back in to ‘normal’ day hours and making their own dinners!
We have also during the past week had a great photographer in to take new images for our website and advertising which will be great to have available. I have added a couple here from the vintage crew.

A wonderful result for our winemaking team! And great that Marcus managed to attend the lunch without knowing we would receive 3 trophies! Now making a grand total of 7 trophies for our 2008 Riesling (Best Aromatic and best value dry white wine) and receiving the trophy for Best Rose with our Pinot Rose 2011! Woohoo,.

Much to the surprise of Barbara Lawson and Marcus Wright at last Saturdays Air NZ Wine Awards, we received the TROPHY for our Lawson’s Dry Hills The Pioneer Gewurztraminer 2010!
Surprise because it was in the Exhibition Class, so had no request for wines prior (which can be a telltale sign or a red herring..). A great accolade for this limited luscious wine.
Also happy with our GOLD for the 2011 Sauvignon Blanc – looking and drinking fantastically.
